Understanding Climate Change Better ππ
Climate change is not just a challenge for this generation but it a intergeneration crisis that is going to be inherited by future generations if we the present fails to make better choices.Climate change is a term used to describe the changes in seasons, rainfall patterns, temperatures over a period of time of 30 years mainly due to the intensification of the green house effect caused by human activities like burning fossil fuels.Green house effect is a natural phenomenon where the sun's rays hit the ground and reradiated back to space with some energy trapped back to maintain optimum temperatures. Now the layer responsible for this task has become thick like a blanket and nolonger allow for reradiation back traping the excess heat on earth a phenomenon termed global warming.
Climate change was seen from a perspective that it is a natural phenomenon until 1800 when sciencists started to recognize that human activities we also the major drivers of the process.lt is a fact that climate change is an outcome of natural and human activities . Natural activities like volcanic eruption product a lot of carbon dioxide and other green house gasses (GHGs) into the atmosphere. The rate at which these natural activities is very low therefore making it valid for scientist to say climate change is due to human activities which regularly put in GHGs into the atmosphere is daily through our transport, industrial activities, agriculture and housing which uses fossil fuels as major source of energy.
